Jónsi :: St. Naive
One of the highlights of Jónsi’s show in Atlanta this Halloween was the unreleased material that he and his band played. “St. Naive” is one of these unreleased songs, and you can stream it above. I implore you to see one of his live shows before he returns to Iceland. Each time I’ve seen him, I’ve been awestruck. It’s simply beautiful.

Casa Del Mirto // The Sun
Casa Del Mirto have just become known to me in the last 5 minutes while scrolling through the tumblr feed and seeing a track of theirs posted on Big Thunder Mountain.
They have without a doubt set their hearts on chillwave and have some pretty slamming tracks out already. If you go from their earliest tracks on their myspace to their newest the migration from dance/house to laid back sample heavy glofi becomes apparent. Their use of Italian stemming 80’s samples seems highly appropriate seeing as they are in fact from Italy, as you might have seen by their moniker. Casa Del Mirto’s latest tracks are essentially melted and warped Italo-disco.
